TombMedia is back online!

Sep 10, 2009

After a long tenure on the bottom shelf, TombMedia once again is on the internet. About as rough a job as you can get, I jumped into a project started three years ago that was used as an experiment to see if I could use the visitor pattern as a data access mechanism. It worked so well back then that I ported the code to C# and base a LOT of my projects off the concept. I think it is a great way to keep the data layer IN the data layer. More on that at another date, right now I tried my best to not remove any of that code but I may if I find that the logs are collecting too much information.

It was also where I started trying out my bulletproof styles but it was in ASP.Net that I really found a process that was kind of standardized over here. A little wiggling, the Mootools was upgraded (and is loaded from Google now) instead of the CFAJAX I was using back in the day. DWR I think that library was. Proofed for mozilla, webkit and ie6-8, I have a lot more work to do on it but for once I have a portfolio up when I have a cv up too!
