An Adobe CS4 plugin that taps into all that power in your Radeon 4870? I know!

It's still in beta, but from what I have gleaned from the articles out there is that this baby will encode mpeg-2 almost twice as fast and h.264 almost 7x faster. Thats pretty crazy. There is also a bunch of GPU accelerated processes in CS5, but with the onslaught of versions Adobe has put out recently I hope they take their time with that one.

I have yet to try it, but I've already passed this word off to my friends at HokNik, who do some fantastic video editing work, and could probably use the extra processing power. Who couldn't, lol.
